Brief Synopsis

A stroll through the trees can be a wonderful thing. The beauty of nature may reveal itself, that pesky blood pressure might drop a few ticks, or maybe, just maybe, you’ll find something completely unexpected out there among the squirrels and the birds. Whether or not that can be categorized as wonderful is entirely dependant on the someone doing the finding and the something being found, but still a surprise nonetheless.

And speaking of surprises, Azalea Dobson finds a big one when he’s lured into the forest by an intriguing woman preying on his need for answers. It’s a risky move for someone like Azalea, who’s usually very cautious around others, but he’s been searching for so long and finally ready to take a selfish chance. However, he’s not alone on this endeavour because his grandmother, June, also enters the trees in search of him. And she too is greeted with the same big surprise…a trip to a fabled land far from home.

Once Azalea and June are within the depths of this strange place, a sense of exploration is quickly replaced by a need for survival as powerful forces challenge their physical and mental fortitude. But all is not lost, because if Azalea and June can find a way to navigate their traumas of the past and reconnect their bond that’s been weakening over the years, they may just have a chance to defeat the devious enemies plotting against them.
