A family man in the midst of a relaxing weekend is interrupted by an emergency broadcast that plunges his entire neighbourhood into extraterrestrial danger.
Brief Synopsis
Daniel is the epitome of a suburbanite. Every week, Monday to Friday, he does the same thing. He eats the same fibre-filled breakfast, tweaks and fiddles with the same spreadsheets at work, sits at the same field to cheer on his daughter’s soccer, and watches the same television shows with his wife before heading to bed. Sure, things can get boring for Daniel but it’s a monotony he’s accepted in order to provide stability for his family.
Besides, there is that one special chunk of time on the weekend that he’s carved out for himself where anything goes and the tedium of his week is turned on its head. Just him, his woodworking tools, some classic rock on the radio, and whatever his imagination can conjure. Out there in the garage, anything’s possible and there’s no interruptions to disturb his creative flow. Well, almost no interruptions….
It starts with a little static, then a three-toned alarm, and by the time the emergency broadcast plays through his speaker, Daniel knows that he won’t be getting any woodworking done today. The only thing he can focus on once the alarm is raised is protecting his loved ones from the alien threat lurking right outside his garage door.
