Brief Synopsis

Shuffleboard, book clubs, yoga classes, and knitting. Sue’s tried them all and everything in between, but she just can’t seem to find that joy…that spark…that thrill that’s been evading her for the past five years since her husband passed away.

There’s always a flicker at first, a honeymoon phase with each new activity, but it doesn’t last long. The disinterest creeps in quickly and shoves her along to the next attempt at finding excitement. And that’s where we find Sue now, in the backyard of her son’s home, planting some colourful flowers in the hopes of brightening up her life and finding a hobby that will stick around for good.

So she digs, and digs, and digs. Flower after flower, hole after hole, as she creeps closer to her yearning. However, it’s not a green thumb she ends up discovering in that fertile soil but an antique key shrouded in mystery. There’s no doubt it unlocks something. But what? Maybe a door, maybe a chest, or maybe Sue’s opportunity for a real adventure.
